International
My name is Katja Voegeli.
I was born in Zurich in Switzerland to a French mother and Swiss father. My academic career includes two bachelor’s degrees: A bachelor’s degree in English Literature and a degree in Advertising from Miami International University of Art and Design. One of my assets is that I speak five languages fluently: French, German, English, Spanish, and Creole. My multicultural background is reflected in my work as an advertiser, such as in my artistic expression. I lived and studied in the United States, Europe, and the Caribbean. For my primary school education, I attended the “Lycée Français de Zurich” in Switzerland, a private and international school. Kantonsschule Stadelhofen (High School) was a very multicultural, vibrant, and creative environment, and it was also an Art School. I completed my bachelor’s degree in English Literature and Language in Martinique in the French West Indies, a France department. In addition, I also lived and studied for over a year in Paris at the University of Sorbonne; at Paris 4; English. I studied Advertising in Miami and did an exchange year, last year in Los Angeles at the Academy of Art, returning to study in Miami from 2020 on. Switzerland is geographically located in the middle of Europe. This positioning and the facilitated forms of transport systems in Europe allowed me to travel extensively and discover many countries in Europe.
Diverse
My creative experience includes participating in plays as an actor to working as an assistant of production to a Swiss movie director and working at theater playhouses as an executive assistant. I am very diverse because I use a lot of different media and influences in my advertising: From drawing to using adobe cloud software, to film, music, singing, photography, performance art, copywriting, painting, sculpturing, acting, directing, to writing and so on. Merging and combining them.
Creative
My professional goal is to become a creative director for an ad agency or in the field of fashion, design, or art.
